Emily Fisher Biography

Emily Fisher is a Toronto, ON, movement based artist with a practice in dance, film, and modeling, specifically runway, social media, and print. Her passion to perform and create new works has been developed through years of training in: classical ballet, classical jazz, modern, contemporary, and her newest interest, Gaga. While studying dance she has also developed new skills in; improvisation, floor work, partner work, choreographic practice, creative project studies, singing, acting, and vocal pronunciation. During her studies, she has created several choreographic projects. At Ryerson University, Ms. Fisher has worked with esteemed Canadian Choreographers such as: Kelly Shaw, Jera Wolfe, Justine A. Chambers, and New York artists Bobbi Jene Smith & Or Schraiber for Fall For Dance North’s A Gathering 2020. She has had the privilege to train with the Toronto based company ProArteDanza for several years, including intensives and commercial-based work. Ms. Fisher was highlighted in the processes of Alysa Pires, Robert Glumbeck and Roberto Campanella, during ProArteDanza’s 2018/19 summer apprenticeship program. While working alongside principal dancers from the National Ballet, Ms. Fisher danced on set in the fall of 2016, in the movie “A Nutcracker Christmas” with Roberto Campanella. In spring 2021, Ms. Fisher extends her resources with ICON Models Agency, furthering her passion for film and photography works. Emily is now a graduate of Ryerson University’s School of Performance, completing a BFA in Dance. Her dedication and passion to dance practice continues in her curious pursuit of live performance and visual arts works.
